Civitas Learning Taps into Echo360 Student Data

Civitas Learning and Echo360 have partnered to support integration of the Civitas Learning predictive analytics platform with the Echo360 teaching and learning platform.

Civitas Learning offers a cloud-based predictive analytics platform and applications designed to help colleges and universities monitor and support student engagement, persistence and graduation. Echo360 is a teaching and learning platform that lets students take time-synchronized lecture notes, ask questions, review lectures, build study guides, flag confusing content and collaborate with peers and faculty during and after class, according to information from the company. Instructors can access this data about student behavior and use it to gain more information about the teaching and learning process in their classroom.

With this partnership, colleges and universities will be able to tap into Echo360's real-time classroom insights and apply that data to the Civitas Learning predictive analytics system to view a more complete picture of student engagement and other indicators of student success.

"Combining historic and student profile data with real-time classroom activity, gives institutions more actionable insights to help each individual student on their path to success," said Fred Singer, CEO of Echo360, in a prepared statement.

Further information about the partnership can be found on the Civitas Learning and Echo360 sites.
