Epson To Ship Smart Collaboration Software with BrightLink Projectors

Projector manufacturer Epson has partnered with Smart Technologies to bundle the latter's collaboration software, Smart Notebook, with each BrightLink interactive projector sold.

The partnership expands on an existing relationship that allowed Epson to sell the software by including it automatically and offering customers a free year-long subscription to Smart Notebook Advantage, a service that allows customers to upgrade to new versions of Notebook, access technical support and unlock premium features.

"Educators are seeking the best hardware and software solutions to help them teach effectively, and to drive student engagement and learning outcomes," said Keith Kratzberg, senior vice president of Epson America, in a prepared statement. "This partnership speaks directly to the needs of teachers to create engaging, impactful and fun lessons, as well as to respond to the needs of learners in real-time. By bringing together these leading interactive classroom technologies, we are providing the tools to meet those needs."
