Visible Body Debuts Augmented Reality Anatomy App for iOS

The newest version of the app allows users to place a virtual human cadaver, organ or tissue on a table and then use their device as a window to examine it from various angles or virtually dissect it.

"Augmented Reality in Human Anatomy Atlas 2018 Edition creates a transformative learning experience that enables app users to visualize gross anatomy and microanatomy from a 360-degree perspective, just like they would in a real lab setting," according to the developer.

"Augmented Reality fundamentally changes the way we will be studying and teaching anatomy," said Andrew Bowditch, CEO and co-founder of Visible Body, in a prepared statement. "Human Anatomy Atlas with Augmented Reality allows students to interact with human anatomy, making the user experience more compelling and rewarding.
