Emory U Offers Students Live TV on Any Device

Students at Emory University can now watch live television and on-demand content on any internet-enabled device. The institution partnered with Comcast to launch Xfinity On Campus, a streaming TV product for colleges and universities, included with room and board for students living in on-campus housing.

Through Comcast's Xfinity Stream app and portal, students can access about 80 live cable TV channels, including the major broadcast networks plus AMC, Barvo, Comedy Central, ESPN and others. In addition, thousands of TV shows and movies are available via Xfinity On Demand. Students have the option of upgrading their accounts to include premium channels such as HBO and Showtime. The service also offers off-campus access to TV Everywhere programming through the Xfinity Stream app.

"With Xfinity on Campus, students at Emory University can now view their favorite live channels anywhere on campus," said Doug Guthrie, regional SVP for Comcast, in a statement. "Also, with our extensive library of On Demand content, they're able to watch their favorite programming on their terms — when they want it."
