McGraw-Hill, TutorMe Expand Free Tutoring

McGraw-Hill has announced an expanded partnership with TutorMe. Students using use McGraw-Hill's Connect will receive a free 60-minute tutoring session for their courses.

TutorMe's tutors work one-on-one with students online in real-time. The tutoring software uses video chat, screensharing and virtual whiteboards, whose contents can be archived for later access. Connect is a set of learning tools, including course management and adaptive learning functionality, that delivers McGraw-Hill's digital courseware. The company said it had 4.3 million college student activations of Connect during its 2020 fiscal year.

Last year, the two companies ran a pilot program, to provide tutoring in four course areas covered by Connect as well as McGraw-Hill's ALEKS products: Anatomy and Physiology, English, Math and Accounting. The latest program expands the service to all of Connect's courses.

"By making TutorMe tutoring available to all students who use Connect, more students will have access to help when they need it," said Michael Ryan, president of higher education at McGraw-Hill, in a press release.
