U Kentucky Deploying Salesforce's Work.com to Manage Health Checks and Contact Tracing

As students, faculty and staff return to campus this week, the University of Kentucky is using Work.com from Salesforce to manage the health and safety of the campus community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The solution includes technology for emergency response management, manual contact tracing, health and wellness assessments, shift scheduling and a data analytics dashboard.

The university will be using Work.com to:

  • Conduct daily wellness assessments and symptom checks;
  • Manage testing and contact tracing;
  • Analyze data to assess campus readiness and emergency response;
  • Survey students, faculty and staff for their feedback; and
  • Share real-time information with the campus community.

"Our investment in Salesforce's solutions is more than a crisis response — it's an investment to come out on the other side of the pandemic stronger and show our community how deeply we care about them," said University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto, in a statement. "We are using Salesforce's Work.com solutions as a springboard for a healthier community, supporting student mental health and well-being, and preparing our university to handle any number of future scenarios."
