Central Piedmont CC Taps Retention Tech with Equity Focus

North Carolina's Central Piedmont Community College has partnered with Aviso Retention to help boost retention in the wake of COVID-19. The company focuses on student success for underserved students and institutions, providing predictive analytics, advising tech and student coaching with a focus on equity.

The college will use the Aviso Retention technology to "focus on holistic student support services and provide more personalized guidance for students," according to a news announcement. Features of the platform include:

  • Predictive analytics to flag potential at-risk students;
  • Student risk assessments to guide success coaches and advisers; and
  • Case management, meeting scheduling and reporting capabilities.

"With the implementation of Aviso Retention, Central Piedmont will have the technology-enabled tools required to make a beneficial and crucial difference in the lives of our students" said Dr. Chris Cathcart, vice president of student affairs, in a statement. "Student success is not an independent task but instead a communal effort to identify and implement a strategy that best promotes success among our students. Aviso Retention is a helping hand for institutions ready to make that change."
