Toshiba's TDP-SC35U DLP projectorProjector/Camera Combo

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division has announced the TDP-SC35U DLP projector with detachable document camera. The TDP-SC35U’s camera enables users to enhance their presentations by displaying transparencies, photos, 2D and 3D objects, or live demonstrations onto a projector screen. The projector features 2,000 ANSI lumens, DLP technology for detailed and sharp images, 2000:1 contrast ratio, and native SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. Price: $899.

Smart Technologies's SenteoSmart Response System

Smart Technologies, a provider of group collaboration tools, has announced the Senteo interactive response system. The system includes a handheld device (with large LCD screen and 21 input buttons) for each student in a classroom, and a central receiver that allows instructors to send information out to each device and receive information back from each student, via radio frequency technology. It comes with Notebook collaborative learning software, and is compatible with most third-party software and all interactive whiteboard brands. Pricing starts at $1,599 for 24 remotes and one receiver.

Bretford's TC15 SeriesAV Mobility

Technology and media furniture manufacturer Bretford has introduced a new family of presentation technology carts for streamlined mobility and display of audio/video equipment. Constructed from solid steel to safely hold heavy technology equipment and withstand years of use, the TC12 Series, TC15 Series (pictured), and TC35 Series carts can accommodate a projector, but also offer an optional flat panel mount that supports monitors of up to 42 inches. The TC12 includes an open-shelf design for easy access to storage; the TC15 has a lockable cabinet for security; and the TC35 has an adjustable top and pull-out shelves that can be customized for a variety of uses. List prices start at $475.
