Sony's PCS-XG80HD Videoconferencing

Sony has introduced the PCS-XG80, a 1080i high-definition videoconferencing system with a frame rate of 60 fields per second. The system features Sony BrightFace technology (to produce clear images even when used in rooms with less-than-ideal lighting conditions), video annotation capability (allowing users to point out specific parts of an image by writing on a tablet), and RF remote functionality. The PCS-XG80 is also backward-compatible with SD videoconferencing systems. List price: $8,999. Available through Spire Global.
