The University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School has subscribed to TopSchool's Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) system to help launch a new online certificate program. UNC Business Essentials is aimed at teaching business skills to recent non-business major graduates and professionals. The Web-based service will enable the school to reach new students via an online format with no residential requirement, and the program can be completed within the student's timeframe.
"With the launch of UNC Business Essentials, we were focused on rapidly introducing a program that meets emerging market demands," said Susan Cates, president and associate dean of Executive Development at UNC Kenan-Flagler. "TopSchool's flexibility and ease of implementation were key to our ability to launch our new program so quickly."
The system, which is delivered in a software-as-a-service model, provides a portal for prospective students to learn about the program, constituent relationship management functionality to manage prospects through admission, and a student information system to track and manage students through program completion. The online program delivery is powered through Agilix, a hosted e-learning platform integrated with TopSchool.
