Vaddio Introduces New Presenter Tracking System
Vaddio has introduced the
latest generation of its presenter automatic tracking system, which captures
content
delivered in a classroom or lecture hall without requiring dedicated
camera
operators.
The RoboTrak presenter tracking system
uses infrared (IR) technology, rather than audio
or facial recognition, to follow instructors or presenters as they move
around
a room. At the same time, the IR technology allows for smoother pan and
tilt
motion, rendering the movements of the presenter more natural and
effortless,
allowing educators to focus on teaching rather than worry about the
technology.
The
system incorporates an infrared tracking camera, a Vaddio RoboShot PTZ
(pan-tilt-zoom) component and a single-piece presenter lanyard. The
wireless
lanyard can operate for up to 40 hours on a single battery charge. The
camera
can track from as far away as 40 feet and can be mounted from the
ceiling or on
a wall.
With
the Vaddio Remote Management System, the RoboTrak can be managed and
controlled
from any remote web browser.
Along
with the new presenter tracking system, Vaddio is launching two new
cameras,
the RoboShot 20 UHD and the ClearShot 10 USB, and a new camera
controller.
The
RoboShot 20 UHD offers ultra-high definition 4K video with a 2160p/30
maximum
resolution and a back-illuminated 9.03-megapixel image sensor. The more
price-conscious ClearSHOT 10 USB has USP plug-and-play capability with
a 10x
optical zoom lens and a 74-degree wide horizontal field of view.
The
new IP-enabled Precision Camera Controller Premier allows simultaneous control
of up to 16 PTZ cameras.
"RoboTrak,
as well as our new 4K camera, IP camera controller and entry-level USB
PTZ
camera, enable Vaddio to respond to our customer requirements for
powerful yet
simple solutions for lecture capture, live production and conferencing
applications," said Milestone AV Technologies CEO Scott Gill.
