Texas A&M Lab Unveils 3D Calculus Game
Triseum, a Texas-based education gaming company founded through the LIVE Lab at Texas A&M University, has unveiled a new game focused on calculus. Announced at Educause 2016, the Variant: Limit game aims to teach students challenging calculus concepts through an immersive 3D world.
The game features:
- A 3D world that allows players to “manipulate objects by mastering calculus principles and theories,” according to the game website;
- A compelling narrative with clear goals;
- Game interactions that allow players to explore at their own pace; and
- Game analytics that allow instructors to monitor student engagement.
