Cal State University Signs Systemwide Procurement Agreement With Panopto

The California State University System is partnering with Panopto to make the company's video content management and lecture capture platform a "preferred" technology across the 23-campus system. The procurement agreement will make it easier for CSU institutions to acquire and roll out the product.

The deal establishes Panopto as one of two standardized campus video solutions for the CSU system, and "the only platform providing both video management and video capture as an integrated, software-based solution," according to a press release. Several CSU campuses are already using the product, including California State University, Long Beach, California State University, East Bay and San Jose State University.

"We'd been in search of a solution that would make it easy for all our faculty and staff to manage, create and share video," said Jean-Pierre Bayard, CSU director of systemwide learning technologies and program services, in a statement "In Panopto, we've found the perfect fit for our university. Panopto takes the hassle out of supporting video for our admins, makes teaching with video effortless for our faculty, and enables our students to tailor the pace of their lessons for a more personalized learning experience."
