Simplilearn and UT Dallas to Offer AI and ML Boot Camp for the Digital Workforce

Online digital skills training company Simplilearn Solutions has teamed up with the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) to offer an online boot camp to upskill AI and machine learning (ML) professionals through the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.

The boot camp will focus on ML, deep learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and more, the company said. Digital workforce employees will also be exposed to trending AI topics such as generative AI, prompt engineering, ChatGPT, and others.

"Amidst the technological revolution, the demand for AI and ML skills among professionals continues to witness an upsurge," said Anand Narayanan, chief product officer at Simplilearn. "As many businesses embrace automation and data-driven decision-making, harnessing the power of AI and ML is essential in today's rapidly evolving landscape."

The company said the boot camp is geared to early- and mid-career professionals with some background in mathematics and programming who want to gain expertise in AI and ML to transition to or advance those roles within their careers.

This immersive boot camp will be conducted online by industry professionals who will introduce 20-plus tools and techniques. Students will be engaged in 25-plus hands-on projects and three capstone projects. An exclusive job portal will be available to students, and résumé makeover and interview preparation will be offered.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, have prior knowledge or experience in programming or mathematics, and preferably have two-plus years of formal work experience.

Applications are open now, and admission closes Aug. 12, 2023. Program duration is 24 weeks. Cost is $8,000, which can be paid in monthly installments of $705 for a year. A certificate of completion will be awarded by UT Dallas.
