Ellis College of NYIT Appoints New Provost and CAO

David Harpool is joining Ellis College of NYIT, New York Institute of Technology’s online college for working adults. Harpool will oversee the operations and academic programs of the college as its provost and chief administrative officer.

“Ellis College of NYIT is truly one of the great innovators in online education,” says Harpool. “The curriculum, which is aligned with NYIT’s 21st-century education model, is designed to provide a stimulating academic environment for career-oriented adults looking to advance their education and further their careers. I look forward to the opportunity to lead Ellis College of NYIT into the future.” Most recently, Harpool served as provost at Kaplan University in Chicago, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the university’s online learning division.
