Lumens Debuts SXGA Document Camera

Lumens Integration this week debuted a new document camera and presentation system called the DC260 SXGA Digital Visual Presenter. The new gooseneck-style system is the first in Lumens' document camera lineup to support HD output via HDMI.

The new DC260 includes a 3x optical zoom and support for capturing images and video at resolutions up to 1,280 x 1,024 pixels. The 22-inch gooseneck mount allows for positioning the camera at various angles for capturing 2D or 3D images. And it includes two gooseneck-mounted lights.

Other features include:

  • Full frame rate video recording;
  • Built-in microphone;
  • SD memory card storage for capturing images and videos;
  • Internal storage for up to 260 JPEG images;
  • USB 2.0 for transferring images to or from computers;
  • Built-in slideshow capability, with support for still images and video clips;
  • Picture in picture support;
  • WIA, TWAIN, and QuickTime framework support; and
  • A "half-page" mode for focusing in on a part of a page without adjusting the document.

The DC260 supports Mac OS X and Windows systems and is available now for $999 ($1,299 list).
