Tacoma CC Bolstering Recruitment Efforts with Azorus CRM Software

Tacoma Community College in Washington State said it will be deploying customer relationship management software from Azorus to track and manage potential students from the initial point of contact through enrollment.

With the recent completion of a communications mapping process, the college hired Azorus Professional Services to build a communication strategy that contains a series of e-mails and personalized portals to ensure that each student receives the correct communication as they consider college options.

"Previously, no one entity or department was managing the overall enrollment and communications process," said Dale Stowell, director of marketing and communication. "Selection of Azorus enables us to execute both processes from within a single solution."

Tacoma is experiencing a decline in the number of available prospective students, in part due to families moving to more rural locations. "Being able to maximize the recruitment efforts within the confines of the city, as well as in outskirt destinations, are vital to Tacoma Community College's enrollment strategy," said Dolores Haugen, director of enrollment management at the college.

The Azorus CRM suite of tools has been designed specifically for the higher education environment.
