Georgetown U To Broadcast Video via FORA.tv

Georgetown University has partnered with FORA.tv to launch a video channel that will share university content. Georgetown will use FORA.tv's content delivery platform to reach a global audience with its issue-oriented video. The channel will feature programming with individual university faculty who are experts in their field as well as world leaders speaking on Georgetown's campus.

"FORA.tv represents a new and highly engaging distribution channel for Georgetown's diverse collection content," said Julie Green Bataille, associate vice president of communications." The partnership enables us to extend Georgetown's stage with the world by facilitating the transmission of university content, enabling further impact on global discussions and the understanding of important issues."

FORA.tv broadcasts its videos over any computing device, including mobile devices, iPods, IPTV, Adobe Media Player, video on demand, cable television, partner Web sites, and blogs. The broadcasts currently are free to viewers.

The launch of the Georgetown Channel on FORA.tv will include New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at the Newsweek Environment Leadership Conference, Condoleezza Rice discussing transformational diplomacy, Rupert Murdoch on news for the 21st century, and Ron Paul on the weakening of the United States Constitution.
