IUPUI Streamlines International Student App Processing

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in Indiana said it's using Hyland Software's OnBase, an enterprise content management (ECM) system, to manage the paperwork generated by international student applications. OnBase is a type of business process management system that enables an organization to streamline review and routing of document-based data and manage user access to the data.

"It was obvious that we needed a solution to help us efficiently control the mountains of files," said Nancy Roof, associate director of international admissions. "We also needed employees from different departments to be able to get the information they need, when and how they need it. OnBase, the ECM solution we chose, does all this and more."

IUPUI uses OnBase to store and manage 40 different types of documents through a single interface. The ECM integrates with the school's implementation of PeopleSoft.
