Tulane, Texas A&M to Automate Banner Batch Processing with Scheduler from UC4

A number of universities, including Tulane University in New Orleans and Texas A&M University in College Station, have licensed the Banner Enterprise Scheduler by UC4 Software to optimize their SunGard Higher Education Banner implementations. The Scheduler automates batch processing and report generation.

Rhonda Baumgartner, applications analyst in fiscal services at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, said, "UC4 allows us to be much more efficient in using SunGard Banner and by automating routine job streams we save thousands of hours a year, freeing our staff for more critical projects. She added, "Automating processes with the UC4 Workload Automation Suite not only improves report generation and distribution, but prevents our servers from overloading by spreading out jobs over 24 hours, eliminating down-time for our students and faculty."

UC4 automates and manages the business rules, core applications, and batch IT processes associated with operating a higher education campus, including course scheduling, financial aid, e-billing/payment systems, tracking student records, issuing grades, and performing alumni outreach.

Other higher ed customers signed in 2008 include Allan Hancock College in Santa Barbara, CA; Murray State University in Murray, KY, and Edison College in Southeast Florida.
