Virginia Commonwealth U To Foster Relationships with CRM

Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond has chosen the core Intelliworks platform as well as a newly released module, Intelliworks Program Management, to improve course enrollment, communications, and invoice and payment processing for programs at the School of Business.

"Our old admissions management system was comprised of three separate tools, and each of our departments used them differently," said Jana McQuaid, director of graduate studies. "We want to get everyone on the same platform to make it easy to add information to student contact records and sort records for sending out mass communications... We selected the Intelliworks system because of the ease and timeliness with which we could implement the product."

Intelliworks provides relationship management, marketing, and recruitment services.

The company has recently released Intelliworks Program Management, a new extension to its platform designed to let program managers handle course marketing, registration, and payment processing for open enrollment, certificate and non-degree courses.

"With Intelliworks Program Management we're looking forward to having the ability to easily make changes to student records, customize data fields, and send out e-mail campaigns to prospects and students," said Jana McQuaid, director of graduate studies in business at Virginia Commonwealth U.

Users can create course iterations, process inquiries, complete registrations, automate workflow tasks, and market courses through the service."

"The usage of CRM is moving rapidly beyond the admissions and development offices to include a more diverse set of institutional departments and programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level," said Nicole Engelbert, lead analyst, Datamonitor. "The Intelliworks Program Management extension offers open-enrollment and non-traditional programs the ability to consolidate disparate systems, and have on-demand access to all the tools needed to manage both the front-end and back-end administration of their programs through an intuitive, yet robust, interface."

Several other schools are using the new release, including ESADE Business School in Spain and Argentina, Northwestern Law in Chicago, and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
