St. Lawrence Revamps Finance and HR Management

St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY has selected components of Datatel's Strategic Academic Enterprise suite, including Datatel Colleague's finance and human resource modules, to integrate those functions into a Web-based, campus-wide information management solution. The university has also licensed Datatel's ActiveCampus Portal and the company's DataOrchestrator Operational Data Store (ODS) reporting solution.

Datatel Colleague is designed to manage and improve departmental workflows, business processes, productivity, and efficiency across the institution. Colleague Finance provides real-time access to financial information across campus, enabling institutions to make better business decisions and run their overall financial operations more efficiently. Colleague HR is a human resource management application that automates HR processes. DataOrchestrator ODS is a reporting tool that works with legacy and real-time data through Colleague.

The ActiveCampus Portal will enable the university to consolidate all independent Web-based systems into an integrated workgroup collaboration and social networking system. Built on Microsoft SharePoint technology, the ActiveCampus Portal provides a single point of access for users.
