Intelliworks, Starfish Partner To Bring CRM, Early Alerts to Seneca College

Seneca College in Ontario, Canada is launching a pilot program with Intelliworks and Starfish Retention Solutions to increase graduation rates.

The new system, focused initially at Seneca's King Campus, will bring Intelliworks Recruit together with Starfish's Early Alert and Connect.

Intelliworks Recruit includes admissions, marketing and customer relationship management features such as:

  • Contact and event management;
  • Inquiry response;
  • Social networking integration;
  • Online application processing; and
  • Marketing automation.

Starfish Early Alert monitors students to identify those who are at risk and provide feedback and outcomes reports. Starfish Connect is an education support networking and case management system. Features of Starfish Connect include:

  • A personal, searchable catalog of services and resources such as interpreters or tutors;
  • Online scheduling for individual and group appointments;
  • Central student folders; and
  • Milestone tracking.

According to Starfish Vice President John Plunkett, "Seneca will be using the Intelliworks CRM platform to manage relationships with prospective students, and enhance retention marketing efforts through Intelliworks' email marketing and marketing automation functionality.  In addition, Seneca will be using Starfish to connect in with the existing technologies on campus (e.g., Blackboard) in order to facilitate the identification of which students are at risk and promote engagement with student services.  Information generated in Starfish will be fed back to the Intelliworks system as the official record of interaction with each student."
