StarTech has announced its new multi-monitor adapter, the SP123DP3DVI, which displays output from a DisplayPort video card on up to three DVI-D monitors.

The SP123DP3DVI can optionally clone the video output, so each connected monitor displays the same output, or it can split the video output, so multiple monitors are treated as one extra-large monitor with a maximum resolution of 3,840 x 1,024, depending on the capabilities of the video card. It is compatible with DisplayPort video cards and DVI-D displays and does not require additional software.

Key features of the SP123DP3DVI include:

  • Ability to connect to Mini DisplayPort sources with adapter;
  • Ability to connect to HDMI monitors using DVI to HDMI adapters (sold separately);
  • External adapter for use with desktops or notebooks; and
  • Ability to work with any operating system.

The SP123DP3DVI is available now for $299.99. It is available for purchase directly from StarTech.com and from distribution partners and resellers. Further information about the SP123DP3DVI is available on the StarTech site.
