Snap! by Lectora Updated for PowerPoint 2013 Compatibility
PowerPoint plug-in Snap! by Lectora has released version 1.4, featuring compatibility with PowerPoint 2013 to turn PowerPoint content into interactive Flash content for e-learning courses.
Other enhancements to the software, which retails for $99, include improved preview and publishing options, enhanced Text Style and Smart Art rendering, smooth Flash .swf integration, and improved "Snap! Empower round-trip functionality," according to a company release.
"We strive to enhance our products to make rapid e-learning easy-to-use, accessible and affordable for everyone," said Peter Bray, chief marketing officer, in a release. "This exciting release will provide our users with new and improved features and will give them the opportunity to use the latest features of PowerPoint 2013 to create remarkable e-Learning content."
Other Snap! highlights include the ability to record and edit video narration or import, edit and synchronize audio and video within the software. Supported audio file types include .aiff, .aif, .au, .mp3, .wav, .wma, and .asf. Supported video file types include .avi, mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .wmv, and .flv.
System requirements for authoring with Snap! include Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, or 7, Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010 or 2013, 1024x768 screen resolution, an Intel or AMD processor, 512 MB of RAM, 50 MB of available hard-disk space, and Adobe Flash Player 9 or newer, according to the company Web site.
