Ellucian Unveils New Analytics Platform, Fundraising Software

Ellucian has introduced its upcoming role-based analytics platform designed to provide insight to enterprise-wide data for more than 100 campus departments, including recruitment, student administration, financial aid, human resources and advancement.

Ellucian Analytics is powered by the Ellucian Ethos platform — the company's cloud-enabled, mobile-first, integrated portfolio of software and services for higher education — which was introduced in April 2016. Ellucian Analytics is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) system supporting more than 200 defined roles on campus. The system can pull data from Ellucian systems and others, so administrators and staff at all levels can use analytics to support the decision-making process.

Key features of Ellucian Analytics include:

  • Access through a web browser, tablet or other mobile device;
  • Personalized content, including favorites and recently used reports;
  • Standardized definitions and metrics across departments;
  • Advanced reporting tools, including key performance indicators and trend analyses;
  • Real-time reporting to regulatory bodies;
  • Interactive dashboards, reports and tools; and
  • Integration with other Ellucian solutions.

"Our approach to analytics is rooted in three key principles," said Jeff Ray, president and CEO at Ellucian, in a prepared statement. "First, analytics are supposed to answer questions, not just deliver data. Second, analytics should unlock the campus and make critical information available to every decision maker who needs it. The third is that content matters, and that the most valuable information should always be front and center."

Ellucian Analytics will be available in December 2016. Further information about the product can be found on Ellucian's site.

In related news, Ellucian has added Ellucian CRM Advance fundraising software to its CRM suite. The cloud-based system — built on the Microsoft Dynamics platform — works on mobile devices and integrates with email and calendar software. According to the company, Ellucian CRM Advance can help staff manage personalized, multi-channel communication plans, as well as campaigns, daily tasks and activities with constituents.

"With Ellucian CRM Advance, we are making it easier than ever for advancement and development professionals to determine the best next step when it comes to donor outreach," Ray said. "And when leveraged in conjunction with CRM Recruit and CRM Advise, institutions now have a comprehensive suite of solutions to manage the constituent lifecycle from prospect to alumnus — giving institutions the tools to improve enrollment, retention and graduation rates at a time when these metrics and relationships are increasingly indicative of student and institutional success."

Ellucian CRM Advance is available now. Further information about the software can be found on Ellucian's site.

Ellucian is exhibiting in booth 601 at the Educause 2016 conference being held in Anaheim, CA this week.
