Barnes & Nobles Education Launches OER Courseware Platform

Barnes & Noble Education (BNED) has released a new platform designed to make it easy for faculty to find and use open educational resources (OER), as part of the company’s ongoing effort to ensure access to affordable course materials.

Barnes & Noble Education Courseware combines “high-quality, curated OER, original content created by faculty experts” with tools that enable instructors to personalize learning materials. The courseware also provides integrated analytics, powered by BNED’s LoudCloud platform.

For the launch, BNED has 10 general education courses that can be purchased at any one of the 770 Barnes & Noble College campus bookstores in the United States.

Further information is available on the BNED Courseware site.
