Ohio Wesleyan U Lures Prospective Students with Personalized Web and Mobile Platform

Ohio Wesleyan University is turning to technology from Evolution Labs to increase applications from prospective students. The institution is rolling out the company's S360 Recruit platform, a product designed to immerse interested students in an engaging web- and mobile-based experience.

S360 Recruit uses prospective student data such as intended degree focus, personal interests and demographics to create a customized environment on multiple channels: web, mobile-web responsive and app. Prospects can connect to school social media feeds, follow student ambassadors by subject and interest, join discussion groups, play daily school trivia games, take a branded OWU selfie, check the event calendar and watch videos, according to a press release. The goal: "to foster a meaningful affinity between student and school, thereby driving the student to apply."

"We have students from many different backgrounds and the platform allows us to map content to meet the diversity of our applicants," said Susan Dileno, vice president of Ohio Wesleyan University, in a statement. "The S360 Recruit platform has an innate flexibility which allows our application process to have a greater degree of success and fluidity; it helps us better understand our applicants from day one and vice-versa."
