AWS Intros Cloud Ambassador Program

Amazon Web Services is building upon its Educate platform to provide instructors and students with new opportunities to expand cloud-related learning activities in the classroom. The AWS Cloud Ambassador Program recognizes and awards educators with incremental promotional credits, advice from AWS solutions architects and early access to AWS features and services.

"We created the AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador Program to recognize and support educators from around the world who are breaking new ground and putting their students on the pathway to careers in the cloud workforce," said Ken Eisner, global head of AWS Educate. "We've been inspired by the more than 10,000 educators in AWS Educate who have been innovating inside the classroom and speeding new curriculum into their institutions."

There are two tiers for the cloud ambassador program, the AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador Council and the AWS Educate Faculty Ambassadors. The council is an invitation-only group that will work closely with the AWS leadership to determine how AWS will move forward with its cloud education efforts. The faculty ambassadors will be chosen annually from among AWS Educate members who apply for the program.

The first round of applications for the AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador Program will end April 22.  Interested educators can apply for the program on the AWS Educate site
