Ruffalo Noel Levitz has begun working with Infogix to introduce a solution intended to help colleges and universities tighten up their data governance practices. According to the companies, the arrangement will combine RNL's work in enrollment and fundraising management with Infogix's data management expertise to help schools do a better job of understanding, tracing and using their data assets.

Infogix's data management platform, Data3Sixty, will serve as RNL's metadata structure with recommended data quality validations and analytical models for different data domain types. Institutions will be able to choose prepackaged configurations to jumpstart their data work.

"Our partnership enables our clients to catalog data and automate data quality so they can track student success, automate student outreach and manage sensitive financial aid data," said Josh Robertson, senior vice president of product strategy at RNL, in a statement.

The use of RNL's "deep domain experience" in higher education will "help institutions get ahead of their data management challenges in an outcome-driven manner," added Emily Washington, senior vice president of product management at Infogix.
