Ohio Northern U Streamlines Video Recording and Sharing

Ohio Northern University is making the Echo360 video platform available to instructors and students across campus, in an effort to streamline the process of creating and managing video content, improve student engagement and reduce the administrative burden on staff.

"Video is a valuable tool for our faculty and students that helps support deeper engagement with course content. However, it previously took us hours each day to arrange classroom cameras properly, making it a cumbersome process that often made it difficult to ensure students had access to this critical content, quickly," explained Chandra Dunbar, instructional design technologist at Ohio Northern University, in a statement. "With Echo360, we can dramatically streamline video recording of course content, while also helping students and faculty manage and share video content."

Faculty and administrators will now be able to schedule the recording of lectures and other course content, according to a news announcement. The new platform allows faculty to record, edit and share video content, as well as respond to student questions and feedback during class. Students receive immediate access to recorded videos and course content, which can be viewed via mobile device.
