UC Davis Launching MOOCs and Professional Certificate on EdX

The University of California, Davis, which offers massive open online courses on several other online learning platforms, has now also partnered with edX to launch a suite of free MOOCs, along with a professional certificate program in search engine optimization. The courses will be available through UC Davis' Continuing and Professional Education office.

UC Davis and edX began their partnership in 2017. The university's other edX offerings include an online MBA program, an executive education leadership program, and four technology bootcamps.

The MOOCs will include courses such as digital content marketing and SEO, skills increasingly in demand. Courses are offered to enhance professional and other skills to help train and retrain the workforce to fill the needs of current and future jobs. UC Davis boasts 48,000 annual enrollments in such courses and more than 3 million enrollments on MOOC platforms, the university said. Visit the university's Continuing and Professional Education page to learn more about what it offers.

EdX was founded by Harvard and MIT in 2012 and is today a part of 2U, Inc. EdX partners with universities and companies to offer thousands of free and open courses, professional certificates, boot camps, credit-bearing micro credentials and undergraduate and graduate degrees.
