Visser Debuts System for Emergency Broadcasts via Digital Signage
Digital signage solutions provider Visser Digital Media has launched a new system that will allow colleges and universities to broadcast emergency notifications via digital displays.
Visser's CampusVision service is a turnkey digital signage system that provides revenue sharing for colleges and universities. It includes split-screen presentations, allowing administrators to display notices, and allows for remote administration, with support for content scheduling on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. It supports PowerPoint presentations with transitions, dynamic Web graphics (weather, etc.), live video feeds (as well as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, WMV, and Flash media), Flash interactivity, and RSS and other types of data feeds.
The new Emergency Campus Communication System module is designed to complement existing emergency alert systems. It allows administrators or campus safety workers to deploy visual campus-wide emergency alerts through the system, including blinking alert messages and alarm tones.
The CampusVision program is available through one of two models: on a subscription basis for $149 per month per display used in the system or as part of one of Visser's regular advertising-funded programs. Further information can be found here.
