Geographical Information Software (GIS) provider ESRI has announced that its Web-based ArcWeb Services 2006 product is available for ondemand mapping. ArcWeb Services mapping APIs (Application Program Interfaces) allow developers to integrate enterprise-level mapping and spatial functionality into any Web-based and mobile applications. In addition, ESRI's partnership with Sprint and Bell Mobility enables subscribing institutions to build location-based services for tracking non-GPS and GPS-enabled cell phones. www.esri.com.
