Nomad Launches 13U Fixed Podium


The Nomad LT Multimedia Podium offers 13U of rack space and active cooling.

Nomad Technologies, a company that offers digital wall displays, podiums, and video conferencing solutions, has unveiled a new multimedia classroom podium that ships with a customizable array of AV equipment.

The new LT Multimedia Podium is a permanent style podium that offers 13U of rack space and three self-retracting drawers. The self-retracting drawers include one drawer designed to hold a document camera, another for laptop storage, and a third that's a medical-grade keyboard drawer.

The standard AV configuration of the LT Multimedia Podium consists of a 19-inch widescreen touch-sensitive monitor, one Wolfvision VZ-8light³ document camera that turns on or off when the document camera drawer opens or closes, a Crestron bi-directional touchscreen controller, a 3,000-lumen Hitachi projector, a DVD/VCR player, and a Bose sound system.

Other features include:

  • Active cooling;
  • Auxiliary ports for additional AV devices;
  • Configurable power control;
  • RJ-45 connectivity;
  • A tilt mechanism for the wide screen touch monitor; and
  • Soft video switching.

  • The ability to annotate using the touchscreen;
  • A built-in Dell PC;
  • Crestron Roomview compatibility;
  • Video conferencing gear;
  • A push-button control system;
  • Microphone;
  • Custom Colors: and
  • The ability to Webcast lectures and presentations.

The LT Multimedia Podium measures 47.25" (H) x 32.875" (W) x 26.25" (D) when closed and 53.25" (H) x 70.875" (W) x 34.75" (D) when open. Configurations range in price from $15,166 in its base configuration to $29,192.
