LoudCloud Adds Virtual Classroom, E-File Cabinet

LoudCloud Systems has added a pair of modules, virtual classroom and e-file cabinet, to its learning management system (LMS) for higher education. The new modules are designed to increase communication and file sharing among users.

LoudCloud University Suite is a cloud-based learning platform for higher education that customizes resources for each student by utilizing user profile and recommendation tools. The suite includes a multi-platform e-reader, LoudBooks, and provides data mining in real time so both students and teachers can be monitored for engagement and results. It also includes an analytics feature to track down at-risk students early.

Components of virtual classroom include e-mail notifications to users, attendance analytics, personalized access controls, session recording and downloading in multiple formats, webcam video sharing, virtual whiteboard, and screen and file sharing, which allows users to watch multimedia or read Microsoft Office files within the LMS.

E-file cabinet allows users to upload and share of a variety of file types and embed links. It also includes automated virus scanning and selective sharing for students and professors, and works with LoudAnalytics to monitor student and professor engagement and results.

LoudCloud will unveil the suite's new capabilities in a webinar on November 11 at 11 a.m. Visit loudcloudsystems.com to register, or for more information.
