Wasp Rolls Out Two IT Asset Tracking Solutions

Wasp Barcode Technologies today announced MobileAsset v7 and MobileAsset.EDU, two fixed-asset tracking solutions that allow IT departments and education institutions to manage items such as software, furniture, media equipment, and more.

MobileAsset v7, intended for IT departments, is available in Standard, Professional and Enterprise editions; MobileAsset.EDU, designed for K-12 and higher education institutions, has two available options, Professional and Enterprise. Both solutions boast iPhone, iPad and Android compatibility for tablets and smartphones; fund tracking; SyncAnywhere (iPsync, through wired and wireless connections on the network); a customizable dashboard; image and signature capture via mobile device; Active Directory integration; and e-mail alerts.

The education-specific MobileAsset.EDU is designed to track assets purchased with grants, allowing users to audit purchased assets for accurate information regarding current and available funds for each grant or funding source. The system also provides maintenance schedules to ensure that each asset is adequately updated to the standards set via grant agreements.
