2014 Innovators Awards

In Depth: 2014 Campus Technology Innovators Awards

In our 10th-annual Campus Technology Innovators awards, we recognize 11 institutions where technology innovation is making a difference in teaching, learning, administration and operations.

Higher One

Higher One is the official sponsor of the 2014 CT Innovators Awards.

Innovation can be difficult to define, but it is even harder to measure. A project that is groundbreaking at one institution might be par for the course at another, larger school with expansive resources. Yet each year, the Campus Technology Innovators awards seek out the brightest examples of technology innovation in higher education. We consider each nominated project's scale, uniqueness and impact; what technologies were used and how; and what lessons might be learned by other institutions. We also enlist the assistance of our Innovators Judging Committee, which helps rank submissions in committee members' areas of expertise.

This year, we honor 11 awardees in six categories: Teaching and Learning; Student Systems and Services; Administrative Systems; Leadership, Governance and Policy; IT Infrastructure and Systems; and Education Futurists. Worthy of recognition, too, are the vendors and products that helped these projects succeed.

Through the month of July, we will profile each award-winning institution, including snapshots and videos to help tell their stories. Read on and be inspired!

Meet the Judges

CT Innovators entries were reviewed by our Innovators Judging Committee, a group of higher ed tech leaders, many of whom are former Innovators themselves. Judges did not review entries from their own institutions. Final winners were chosen by our team of editors.
