U Wisconsin-Extension Selects Industry Advisors for Online Programs
The University of Wisconsin-Extension has selected new members to join its industry expert advisory boards for its online bachelor's and master's degrees.
Board members include professionals with relevant experience from companies and organizations such as Johnson Controls, Oshkosh, American Family Insurance, University of Wisconsin (UW) Health, Ministry Health and more. Board members serve renewable two-year terms and meet twice a year in an effort to make sure that online curriculum aligns with employment needs.
"Industry advisory boards have been a crucial component of the online bachelor's and master's programs since their launch in 2009," said David Schejbal, a dean of University of Wisconsin-Extension, in a prepared statement. "Often, there is a gap between what is learned through educational programs and what students need to get a job in their fields. Our advisory boards bridge that gap for collaborative online degree students."
