Babson College Partners with edX to Launch Online Entrepreneurship Courses

Babson College has teamed with edX to launch a new series of six online courses, Business Principles and Entrepreneurial Thought.

Launching early next year, the series will be offered as an XSeries, or a sequence of courses designed to offer students a thorough understanding of a specific topic. The programs are free, though verified certificates are available for a fee and upon demonstration of competency and knowledge of the field of study.

For this series, a team of professors from Babson will guide students through topics including startup analytics, customer behavior, financial accounting and strategy as they apply to entrepreneurs.

"The edX program is designed for entrepreneurs of all kinds—both those who are seeking to apply Entrepreneurial Thought & Action within existing organizations, and those who are developing and launching their own ventures," according to a news release. "Interested learners are looking to take action, contribute to the decisions of an organization and are ready to move forward with their ideas."
