Campus Management Releases Tool to Align Students' Skills with Workforce Needs
Campus Management has announced CampusNexus Occupation Insight, a cloud-based "workforce analytics" tool that links coursework and skills development with career outcomes.
By providing an up-to-date view of national and regional workforce data, the system allows institutions to shape their academic programs to meet industry needs — and ultimately give graduates a better chance at career placement, according to a news release. In addition, students can select courses that align with their career goals. Artificial intelligence helps "contextualize the workforce data to determine what skills employers are looking for and then personalize recommendations for each student based on their goals," the company website explained.
"Direct knowledge of current career opportunities and the necessary associated skills provides students a new perspective on how to configure and manage their academic journey," said Robert Sparks, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Campus Management, in a statement. "As more students demand immediate earning potential from their degrees, Occupation Insight is an essential tool for aligning necessary skills to career outcomes."
Also in the works at the company is a new constituent relationship management platform. Built using Microsoft infrastructure, CampusNexus Engage promises to "drive personalized and predictive engagement" with students across their entire lifecycle, from recruiting to career services. Features include predictive analytics, mobile communication, event management, social engagement and listening, case management and more. The product is slated to launch in December 2018.
