Ellucian Acquires EduNav Academic Planning and Student Success Tools

Ellucian has announced the acquisition of EduNav, a provider of higher education academic planning and student success tools, according to a news release.

The planned integration of EduNav into Ellucian's SaaS platform will expand its capabilities in registration, academic planning, transfer acceptance, and capacity planning for higher education institutions using Ellucian, the company said.

The addition will “enable institutions to deliver an exceptional student experience and … help students discover faster and more efficient paths to their degrees and better understand how their classes can translate into valuable credentials,” Ellucian said.

The new tools also will simplify capacity planning and enable institutions to better anticipate the evolving needs of their student population and to provide the skills needed for the jobs of the future, Ellucian said.

The company did not specify when the integration of EduNav features would be completed. Ellucian serves 2,900 higher education institutions in 50 countries, serving 22 million students, according to its website.
