Energy Department Awards $2.5B Contract

The lucky recipient is the University of Chicago's Argonne LLC. The Argonne National Laboratory will use the money to "enhance the lab's digital capabilities" and "make the lab as efficient as possible" with an "integrated management system." That seems doable with $2.5 billion. The five-year deal begins October 1 and contains provisions that allow Argonne to earn up to $5.3 million per year for superior performance during that period…

Wisdom Wins College Deal

Some schools look toward professional planning to bolster IT operations. Adam Smith College in Scotland hired a tech firm to work with the school's Information Communication Technology department to create an IT disaster recovery plan.
