Service Links Student Data to Web College Planning Platform

ConnectEdu Inc., a Web-based college planning service, and Rediker Software Inc., a school student management system, have teamed to export student data directly into the college planning, admissions, and financial aid platform. The partners claim the result will integrate high school systems with community colleges, colleges, and universities, as well as provide entirely electronic college transcripts and application materials.

ConnectEdu claims it is now the only XML-based transcript delivery system directly integrated with a secure national network of colleges that follows the guidelines of the Post Secondary Education Standards Council (PESC) and the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA).

The first said that by delivering documents digitally, GPA recalculation, applicant matching, and receipt verification can be done instantly.

As a result, admissions offices would spend less time manually processing college applications, would increase their relationships with college-bound students, and ultimately would deliver more timely admissions decisions.

ConnectEdu said it expects to deliver 1.3 million transcripts in the upcoming admissions cycle.
