UPMC Center for Biosecurity Adopts SiteExecutive

The Center for Biosecurity at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has launched two websites using SystemExecutive from Systems Alliance, an IT and business consulting firm. SystemExecutive is designed to help design and publish websites.

"SiteExecutive has greatly enhanced the Center for Biosecurity's Web presence and ability to engage decision makers involved in biosecurity policy, response, and research," said Mary Beth Hansen, CIO of the Center for Biosecurity, in a prepared statement. "SiteExecutive has simplified and streamlined the processes of Web publishing and website deployment: We're now able to maintain and grow our sites in ways we never could before."

The program allowed the Center to create its own website with distributed authoring, automated content updates, communications capabilities, and password protection for specific site areas.

The University of Pittsburgh medical center is a part of the University of Pittsburgh, a private institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Center of Biosecurity is an independent, non-profit organization affiliated with the University's medical center.
