Ethernet Alliance Announces Ethernet Competition for University Students

The Ethernet Alliance, an industry group dedicated to Ethernet technologies, announced its first White Paper Challenge for students from universities that are members of the Ethernet Alliance University Program (EAUP). According to the Ethernet Alliance, the goal "is to provide university students with a unique opportunity to apply and present academic theories in a real-world setting."

The challenge is for undergraduate and graduate students to submit papers about current Ethernet technology issues and advancements. Winners and their universities will receive cash prizes and the chance to present their white paper at SC07 in Reno, NV Nov. 16.

According to Ethernet  Alliance, membership is free and open to universities "that wish to contribute to the study and expansion of Ethernet technology." Those in the program can take part in interoperability events, technology demos and research studies on IEEE 802 Ethernet technologies.
