In January, Michigan's Davenport University will begin offering military and civilian employees of the United States Department of Defense online computer security and biometrics courses, among others, the Grand Rapids Press reported.
The courses will be offered through an agreement with Defense Acquisition University, the DOD's continuing education program.
DAU has agreements with many colleges and universities nationwide, but Davenport is one of the few to provide online courses, administrators said.
"Our master's program in protecting information databases, and our biometrics security program, make Davenport a good partner for DAU," Reid Gough, Davenport's technology department dean, told the newspaper.
