Assessment Software Gets Connector to SharePoint

Questionmark has released a new program that allows users of its assessment software, Perception, to run in Microsoft's content and collaboration platform, SharePoint.

Connector enables users to gain access to surveys, quizzes, tests, and exams from within a SharePoint portal, blog, or wiki page. Participants logged into a SharePoint site can see a list of Questionmark assessments available to them in a special "My Assessments" widget and then launch an assessment by clicking on it. When the assessment is completed, the results are stored within the Perception database for future analysis, and the user can view appropriate feedback.

The company said the Connector technology is just one of several options for providing access to Questionmark assessments via SharePoint. The new component isn't needed if the administrator can configure Perception Server to use the login credentials from a Windows domain. The new program is intended to enable single-sign-on access to assessments.
