New Projection Devices Enable Users to Wirelessly Share Desktops
Users can now project images and information from their desktop without having to connect their computer to a projector.
Ipevo has released WPS and WPS-HD, wireless presentation devices that enable users to share their desktop in real time from their Mac or PC without the need for additional cables or connectors. Any computer on the Wi-Fi network can connect to the devices via wireless access point. The WPS and WPS-HD feature 4-in-1 split screen mode to project up to four desktops, simultaneously, in a 2x2 grid. The poVGA-compatible devices support up to 30fps projection at SVGA (800x600), XGA (1024x768), WXGA (1280x768), and WXGA+ (1280x800) output resolutions.
The WPS-HD also offers "Speedy mode" which buffers video and DirectX support for graphic-intensive applications. HDMI support enables users to share audio and video. Users can also control split-screen and full-screen desktops with the browser-based Conference Mode feature.
To run the device, users can either download the software utility via Web browser or use a Plug-and-Play Token. The WPS-HD comes with a token. Users can create a token for the WPS with any USB flash drive.
