U of Dayton Uses iPad App for Student Recruitment

The University of Dayton (UD) is using a new iPad app for its application review process. The private Catholic research institution selected Matchbox to manage its inbound applications.

Matchbox enables college and university admissions officers to receive, evaluate, score, and distribute application data from their iPads. The application uses cloud services to collect and update data. Reviewers can work offline, through a customizable user interface, then sync up their data later. The application includes electronic score card and annotation capability as well as a function for designating roles to members of the review committee.

"For us, using Matchbox was a no brainer," said Sundar Kumarasamy, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at the University of Dayton, in a prepared statement released by the company. "Matchbox provides us with an intuitive solution that empowers our readers to give each applicant the critical attention they deserve while saving us countless hours in the process."

Additional information about Matchbox can be found at the company's Web site.
